After careful consideration and in light of the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, as well as the health and safety of our members, presenters, and corporate partners, we have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 American Society for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery Biennial Meeting, scheduled for June 20-23 in Boston.
As the concerns about the COVID-19 virus continue, we felt this was the best way to proceed during such an unprecedented global situation. We are very disappointed that we are unable to hold this meeting, but we know it’s the right decision based on the current information and the safety of our attendees.
If you have already registered for the meeting, your registration payment will be refunded within 30 business days. If you have made a hotel reservation at the Westin Boston Waterfront through the official ASSFN housing site, it will be cancelled automatically and you will receive a cancellation email. If you do not receive an email, you should contact the hotel directly at (617) 532-4600 to confirm the cancellation.
We are actively evaluating virtual options for elements of the meeting, such as providing an opportunity to present accepted papers, and will be in touch regarding those details as well as potential reschedule dates.
